Redford Civic Symphony, Inc.

53rd Season 2008-2009

Conductor and Music  Director                            Founder

Mr. Douglas MacQueen                           Mr. John Gajec

The Redford Civic Symphony is starting its 53rd season providing free live music to Redford and the surrounding communities.  We have an exciting season planned for your listening enjoyment.    Unfortunately, as the Michigan economy has weakened, so has our level of support.  Last season, we operated at a loss.  This must change if we are to remain financially solvent. Our operating costs include payroll for professional musicians, music rentals and purchases, instrument repair, costs to cover the fees of performing copyrighted music, liability insurance, advertising and printing.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 annually.  With your support, we will continue to bring you quality, free live concerts. If you have ties to local businesses, we ask that you encourage them to support our orchestra in any way they can.  If you would be interested in sponsoring an orchestra chair ($150), your name/organization will be listed under that player’s name for the entire season.  If you are able to give an amount beyond the membership guidelines, it would further help us meet our financial goals.  If you would like to provide us with your e-mail address, we will keep you up- to- date on our concerts and activities. Our website is www.redfordsymphony.com, and contains concert dates, a list of orchestra members and an up-to-date list of our supporters.  Help us spread the word by bringing friends and relatives to our concerts and help us expand our support base. Thank you for your interest. We hope to see you at our concerts.

Sincerely,

David L. Pydyn

President
